The Iroquois (lit. "People of the Longhouse") are a playable tribe in American Conquest.
The Iroquois were a historically powerful northeast Native American confederacy of tribes in North America. They were known during the colonial years as Iroquois League or the Five Nations.
The confederacy originally consisted of the Mohawk, Onondaga, Oneida, Cayuga, and Seneca nations, who all spoke variants of the Iroquois language family.
The Iroquois have absorbed many other individuals from various peoples into their tribes as a result of warfare, adoption of captives, and offering shelter to displaced peoples.
Gameplay[]
Ingame the Iroquois can recruit Archers, Shooters, Shamans, Tomahawk Warriors, Chiefs, and Horsemen.
Their signature unit though would definitely be their long-range shooters which almost have the same range as European Fusiliers.
Their Tomahawk warriors do a decent job for a close-ranged Infantry unit but fall behind those of the Hurons.
The Iroquois' archers use stone as ammunition which makes them the only type of North American archer that does so. Stone either has to be acquired by trade or gathered from captured enemy mines as the Iroquois.
Their Shamans are also unique in the sense that they possess more than twice the healing range of other Shamans (except Haida), while also moving significantly faster than them.
