The Shaman is a unit in American Conquest that is capable of healing allied units. Shamans are trained at the Temple, the Fortress, the Town, or the Wigwam of the Wise. All Native American factions have access to Shamans.

The Shaman can heal any unit's hitpoints every 4 seconds. Unlike the European Priest, Shamans also have a Melee Attack and are required to form native Squad Formations, along with a Chief.

Issues with Healing Mechanic[]

Ingame information mistakenly portrays shamans with a healing value of 50 as having 25. The same is true for shamans with a displayed healing value of 25 but in reverse. European Priests do not share this problem and heal as much as written in their unit information.

Celebrate priest ritual

The technology Celebrate priest ritual is dysfunctional and will not increase the healing power of shamans, despite the tooltip showing an increased healing value when researched.
